GEOGRAPHY AND CLIMATE

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean, lying at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia. Its unique geographic position has been playing an important role in its development since antiquity.

Cyprus has a pleasant Mediterranean climate, with year-round sunshine and mild winters. Snow falls only in the Troodos Mountains in the central part of the island. Winters are mostly rainy and summers are generally dry, lasting from April to November.
